What cooler?

I agree about buying one to last but i dont have the $ for a yeti or brute. Want a fairly good sized one to put quartered deer in.

i can be the first to say, im not buying a yeti or brute.. plain and simple too much money for me, slam me for it all day long, but i aint buying one.. get a good ol fashioned igloo.. if a bracket or handle breaks, go to the local academy and buy replacement parts.. simple as that.

That big igloo Max Cold 152 quart is about 80 bucks at Academy and about 70 bucks at SAMs. I've got two of them.

I understand perfectly your concern about the cost. I have done the same method of purchasing coolers I could afford that were very inexpensive. But after speaking with the BRUTE guys and seeing their product first hand, I am going to continue with my inferior coolers only so long as it takes to save up to purchase a BRUTE cooler. I think it will last the rest of my life.

I've always been afraid of spending the Yeti/Brute price for fear of someone stealing it. I'd love to have one but thieves will take a cooler regardless of the price and especially the ones that cost the most. I would like to have one though.

I'm not advocating or telling anyone your wrong for not wanting a yeti or brute cooler. . .but I bought a used Brute from Codie and I can tell you there is a difference in how the coolers work and how long ice lasts. I have two Coleman Xtremes that I have used for years and they work okay. The Brute I bought has by far out performed them hands down. You will not be disappointed when getting one. I liked the one so well, that i bought a second used one! Your decision, your money, but like you I also said what a waste of money, boy was I WRONG!
