    Computer Trouble

Hey fellas, I'm hoping one of you IT computer guys can help me out here. I don't know much about computers and I only use it for internet browsing and a lot of gaming.

My computer shuts off and restarts every 10-15 minutes or so...I'm not getting a blue screen, just restart. Once windows is up and running, I get the 'Windows has recovered from a fatal error' or something like that. My temps are fine I think...CPU is running at 28 celcius.

This just started the other day when I came back from out of town...no new hardware or software or anything. If it matters, my computer also changed itself to sleep after 45 minutes (I never told it to change it's settings to sleep).

I've looked online, but everyone is seeming to say it's a temp problem, and I don't think that's the case in my situation.

Not running a huge awesome computer either...just a cheap ol' HP with windows 7 from Fry's.

    Thanks for any help,
    Chris

It does sound like a hardware problem, but you might check the system logs and see if the system is Shuting down after "trying" to install a windows update.

Can't tell you how to fix it, I would follow the lead of "Office Space" and how they handled their problem printer.

It might be the power supply is getting bad or the motherboard is going out on ya.
