disappearing goat results. cant believe what found

first this is a young goat. maybe 25 pounds 30 pounds top.fence 8 feet high. 3 foot border fence on outside. this got is not capable of getting out. no illegals. none of this matters. we were looking around the fence from the inside. my daughter yells to me dad come here. we found a piece of goat. just skin and hair about 1 foot off the fence inside. and then on the other side found 2 more skin and hair pieces. then i looked up and there was little hair snags on top of fence. straight down from hair snags. other side there was little hairs. and little hair chunks. right there on the ground. then you could see a small trail drag. going back into woods. i walked this trail found both goat horns bout 3 feet apart. along with crushed bone and other hair pieces. but it rained hard last night. so identfying prints. was impossible. never found goat. i only went bout 40 yards down trail thoe.

Sounds like a bobcat made the kill/removal and pigs finished off what the bobcat didn't eat.

Wow. No idea on a bobcat but it sounds like another goat is in order with an all night hunt to find out what it is. Keep us posted.

A grown bobcat could certainly carry a small goat over an 8' fence.

I dont personally believe a Bobcat could carry a goat over an 8 feet fence. But i am no expert either. It just seems like it would have to be a much bigger animal to do that.

                    X2

Cats are strong. Leopards carry animals up trees even when the animal weighs as much as it does.

A 25# goat wouldn't be tough for a decent sized bobcat.....especially if he ate some of it before dragging it out of the enclosure.

Better remedy the situation before you begin your whitetail operation and the menu turns from goats to breeder bucks$$$$$. We have goats on our place and had lion tracks show up along the creek bottom.Made us a little nervous. Fortunately he was just passing through.
