    Dang power out again!!!

Power went out at midnight last night! This is second or third time this week! I guess I'm going to have to look into a home genrator now.

I work for our local Electric Co and have two back-up gennies. You never know when natural (or not) disasters will happen. As crazy as our weather patterns (or lack of) have been the last few years, it's not a bad idea! I also have a solar panel hooked to a marine battery with a little inverter so we can run the fridge and a fan if all else fails.

I had even thought about buying the solar panels that were listed on here awhile back. Hindsight always 20/20!

Wow, I had no idea you could run a fridge on a marine battery. Is it a full size refrigerator?

Yes it is. You would be suprised what you can run off one if you have to. A few years back durring one of the hurricains I hooked it up. I had the pannels and inverter to run at deer camp so I could have lights and a fan. Grant it, it was sunny, but I was able to keep my food cold for three days.
