    Cuddeback No-Flash

Well, my Cuddeback No-Flash has bit the dust. I am very disappointed about this. I've only had it about 6 weeks. I am NOW aware that there have been some problems with these units; unfortunately, I wasn't aware of this until after I bought the stupid thing.

Anyway, it's going into the shop to hopefully get fixed. In the meantime, does anyone have any suggestions for a RELIABLE infrared trail cam? Something in that price range is fine. Something cheaper would be great, as long as it's reliable and takes quality pictures. Infrared is a requirement, but I'm flexible on other features.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

What's the story on your CB No Flash? I was hoping Santa Claus was going to bring me one.

I don't know. It simply won't trigger to take pictures. Everything else seems like it's working fine. It powers up okay, seems like the settings are all correct, it just won't take any pics. Search around on the internet, you'll see that there have been some issues with this particular model.

I had it out in two high traffic areas over the past 5 days and got zero pictures.

I have the Leaf River IR camera. It's been out for over a year and a half now and so far I've had no problems with it. The night time pictures are a bit grainey looking but overall I'm happy with it. I'll get between 1500 and 2000 pictures between battery changes so I don't worry about rechargable batteries and solar panels.

I have a Leaf River IR that is about 8 weeks old and I am having problems with it not being triggered. I have called Leaf River and they have given me a RMA to send it back so they are very helpful. I bought a Cabela's Trail Sentry night vision 11-9300. The photo quality is not near as good as the leaf River but it has been in the field for almost a year with no problems. I dump the photos one a month and install new batteries. I get about 1000 photos out of the batteries and it will sense a target out at least 45 feet in 70 degree weather. It is also very simple to set up which I can not say the same about my leaf river. I would defiantly recommend the Cabela’s night trail sentry.

My first Cuddeback IR did the same thing and I sent it back. They sent another one and it has performed flawlessly, with great battery life, quick trigger speed and good pictures. Some of the IR night pics are blurry but I think that's the nature of IR. Battery compartments on all the new Cuddebacks, quite frankly, stinks, but I'm gonna sell a Leaf River which has a slow trigger to get another Cuddeback.

I have a no-flash I have been using for three months with excellent results. The battery life is excellent and the picture quality has been great so far. Hopefully the fix works for you.

Man thats to bad . I have had one for 7 months and no problems so far . I am sure if you send it back to Cuddyback with a receipt they will fix it or give you a new one . I have owned only three types of game cameras . Stealthcam (didn't like it ) , Wildveiw ( great pictures but really slow trigger speed , and Cuddyback no flash . I love my Cuddyback no flash !

What impresses me the most about Cuddyback is I can get hundreds of photos and batteries just keep on trucking . I went 3 months without changing batteries this summer .

Here are a few night photos . The camera takes great day photos but black & white at night only . These deer were in my front yard this year .

I am hoping this guy makes it one more year . This picture doesn't do him justice . He is an 18'' 9 pt . The neighbors shoot everything around me but I am keeping my fingers crossed .

                          Grayson ,

Make sure you have read all the instructions carefully . The No flash is a very complex camera . Once you get it working properly I garantee you will wish you owned two of them . The Cuddyback I have has been an asset to scouting like I would have never imagined .

                          Good luck

Just to be clear, I liked the thing when it was working. It worked great for 6 weeks, until this week.

Shark Attack, I'm not sure what I should be doing differently. I've set it up the exact same way every single time I put it out. These last two times, I didn't do anything different than the first several times I set it up.

To those of you who have sent it back, how long did it take you to get it back from Cuddeback?
