How long for pigs to start working on a new pig pipe?

Let's say the hogs in our area have never seen a pig pipe style feeder. If one is put next to their normal trail through our property, how long will it take for them to understand how to roll it around to get the corn to dribble out, and make it a regular stop for them, making it a good hunting site? A day, a week, a month? Let's assume they find it the first night(we have a LOT of pigs on our lease).

Maybe 2 or 3 nights but once they find it they will pretty much wipe it out every night. I put them out around the feeders two days before the hunt and have pretty regular visitors.

Like most animals, they're curious and especially if it smells like food. I've had them tear a pipe up on the first nite.

Most places they will figure it out right away but I did have one place that they couldn't, the funny thing was the deer figured it out so it became more of a deer pipe than pig pipe.

I usually put out more corn and scent around it just to get them to come in. Then watch out, stake it out really good.

I've found pipes 400 yards down in a creek bottom.

Usually doesn't take too long if the pigs are there. To help start them on the pipe, I usually put some corn around the pipe. I also mix in some koolaid to help them smell it. I usually have pigs hit them within a few days.
