    Shotgun Re-Bluing/Restorer

I've had a Browning Citori for 20 years and it's showing it's age. The bluing on the barrel needs to be redone and I want the scratches and nicks in the wood fixed.

    Where would you take it?

    I would do it myself..........

Strip and sand the stock, refinish it then duro coat the metal.

The retail on a new one is over $5500, I don't trust myself enough to attempt this on my own

I agree, Duracote would be an injustice for this gun.

I've narrowed it down between Ray's Hardware or McClelland in Dallas.

Has anybody had anything restored by them or know someone that has? Any other suggestions?

Did you consider Willoughby-McCabe in Snider Plaza? I know they do some gun work, not sure if they could help you or not. Either way, it's work a visit to their shop. Some beautiful shooting irons in there

those scratchs and dings are charcter IMO. Reminds me of the hunts I have taken them on. Its history.

Rebluing it will hurt the value of the gun! Don't do it!
