    RV help

I am looking at an rv that is for sale on here but can't get the generator to run the interior. Generator runs-interior runs when plugged in to power pole. Does anyone know anybody that is an RV mechanic or a shop in the Dallas area.

    Thanks

Either the breaker are trip on the generator itself or the automatic changerover box is bad.

The guy who owns(seems like a heck of a mechanic) it has worked his rear off replacing all sorts of stuff and it just won't kick over.

I believe he has tried every different configuration available. I still want the rv but wondering how much it might run for a quote from a shop will run

There is a breaker on the generator. Make sure it's not tripped. Some of the models you have to plug the camper into an outlet located on the camper or generator.

Parker Power is located in Farmers Branch and are experts at generator repair.

Usually about a week or so wait for them to take a look.

You should nhave a junction box close to the generator. If you have power there but no power coming from changeover box. you have bad relay in changeover box.big you have no voltage at box.byour output on generator is bad

In your power cord compartment, is there a receptacle where you can plug the power cord into? If so plug the cord in and see if the generator supplies power to the coach.

The rv is still at the sellers house-I am still planning on buying it and trying to line someone up to look at it when I do get it

My Dad owns North Dallas RV I 35 and George Bush. He mainly deals with Airstreams, but he maybe able to look at it for you before you buy. I am not sure what he charges to do an inspection.

My camper is an '07 and I have to manually flip the breaker to send genny power inside. My breaker is mounted on the genny itself. Not all systems have auto change over. Also most will not let genny supply power if shore power is plugged in. I know, obvious, but just saying
