            Not to hijack this...

            Can you change an existing mount and change out the antlers ? How difficult is it to do reconstruction surgery and what's the price on something like that ?

                And "yes" to Tx Burt's question. Well, at least most of the time. Something like that I would charge an hourly rate.

                  This Llano county buck was european mounted about 5 years ago and the guy finally decided he wanted to mount it. Got him a cape and mounted it up yesteday. Its drying so it has much to be done still just an unfinished mount that needs some minor adjustment as it drys. (sorry for the blurry pic)

                    This brings up another good point.

                    If you ever shoot a buck that you don't plan on shoulder mounting, but it has a really good cape, cape it out like you would if mounting and give it to the taxidermist. Most taxis will probably knock some off your euro mount in trade for a good cape.
