That reminds me of my honey bee incident several years ago. I was mowing around an old house and they jumped on me and tore me up. My youngest daughter was pulling the stingers out of my head for several days. The next day I woke up and looked like someone got the better of me in a fight. My eyes were swollen up pretty good.

    Good thing I wasnt allergic.

Mine got it also, but not as bad.

Mine got in to one a few weeks ago and I tell you it was painful for everyone getting them out. I got my vet to give me some meds to ease the pain of getting them out. I also gave some to the dogs to help them as well. Mine didn't get it near as bad as this little fella though.

looking at this thread made me think, does a taxi charge more to mount a porcupine? Any pics of mounted porcupines?

My aunt's dog got nailed by a porcupine a couple of years ago and it was pretty bad (though not as bad as this one)! Same situation as was mentioned in the story, most were removed but some quills remained embedded...they had to wait for them to work their way out. They were removing miscellaneous quills for MONTHS.
                    Poor little baby.

Nobody's mentioned that they are corn eating fools too. I've had hundreds of pics of them on & below my platform feeders. That are as bad as coons. Kill'em and let'em fill buzzard bellies.
