Just met the man who invented

The Elk cow call. I am in Gardiner Montana on a Yellowstone trip. Just happened to stop in this little store full of hunting stuff. He and Gordan Eastman were great friends and made many films together. He still makes video on calling elk, deer and coyotes.
His website is elk Inc. I had to but a cow call and after a lot of conversation he gave me a DVD.

Amazing place to stay and the hot springs is classic. And the restaurant there is 5 stars. People come from all over to eat there. Reservations a must!! youll love it!!

No not this time. We drove and although the drive is long it is beautiful country so it's not to bad. But If I ever come back this way I am flying the plane. Starting the treck back this morning and will be home on Friday.

Did not go by Chico, but seen everything there is to see in Yellowstone I believe. I had Don show me how to use his cow call, talked about the Wolves and how they have devastated the Elk population around here. We talked for about an hour about hunting and his time with Eastman. I knew If i ever came up this way I'd want to stay
