I have been running homebrews for many years, but thinking about going with a commercial model now. What are the best "cheap" cameras out there? Who has deals on them?

I would suggest the Primos 35 (Old model) Best bang for the buck for years. If you want an amazing trail cam. get on campfire.com and wait for the deal on Spypoint Cameras. They have them on there for 125.00 mini and 185.00 for the one with visual screen. On camofire the price is over half price. The bigger cam is a 400.00 camera for 185 bucks. I have several of these and just a great quality cam. I do a lot of movies and like the sound and time lapse

Just bought a Primos Thruth Cam 35 from wal-mart for $79.99. Ive got two more out at the lease, think I paid 99 at bass pro for the same cam last year.
I would keep buying them at $99...Ran all last year on one set of batteries, and had to have taken over 10 thousand pics through out the season. I remember checking it one time and it had taken 6k in a month.

I had one go out and sent it in to be repaired. They sent me a brand new one and a coupon worth 10$ off my next camera purchase from them
