These figures are directly from the FBI. Bottom line - in the last 10 years private gun ownership is up 60%. Over the same time period, murders are down 14% and murders by firearm are down 20%. What? How could that be? More guns, less murders? More importantly, do facts make any difference to those who want restrict gun ownership?
