Zeiss scope help

I purchased this scope off TBH recently & have mounted to the gun. It's a Conquest 3-9 x 40 MC & I'm bore sighting it.
My problem is that both adjustment/windage knobs look exactly the same & lack left/right or up/down identification...see picture.
Is this correct?


The other issue is that the knobs do not click when turned. You have to slide them up about 1/8" & then they turn but still no clicking.

Thoughts??

For issue #2, I found out the adjusting knobs are just really hard to turn...I feel better.
I still need help solving issue #1

U/R means UP or Right.

Turn the top one Clockwise (arrow direction) to adjust UP.

Turn the side one Clockwise (arrow direction) to adjust RIGHT.

Thanks for your help, its my first Zeiss.
I guess I'm used to markings on other types of scopes.
