I have the same thing here in Hawaii, they lay on the hillside and wait for the feeder to go off, They come in about 30-45 minutes before and wait.

They know to hit the feeder just before dark for corn? then again they come to an empty feeder at 1-2 am to see if anything is there, so maybe not.
