    Ostrich Boot Care/Break in Tips?

I got a pair of Tonys full quill boots last week. I need to make sure these boots stay in good shape for my wedding in March. Therefore, they will only be worn for job interviews and such. They fit great, but the instep and area on the sides of my arch are slightly snug. Besides just wearing them until they break in is there anything else that can be done that does not harm or discolor the leather. I have heard of rubbing alcohol on the inside then wear till dry will soften and stretch em out. I just don't know how it works on exotic skin boots.

Also what care tips do y'all recommend for ensuring they last, and the leather doesn't dry out.

look up apple care products. I work for a golf grip company, and my specialization is with exotic leather. The apple care protects it, cleans it, and keeps it looking healthy.

Always start with a very small patch though where it isn't noticeable just to make sure before you use it on the rest of the boot.

When I get a new pair of boots regardless of how they fit or the leather (Im wearing alligator today) I stand in a bathtub of hot water for 15-20 minutes and wear them until they are dry. They will stretch and conform to my feet and will wear like a pair of house shoes after that. I might do this twice if I dont get the feel Im looking for on the first try.

Then I use Bick 4 leather conditioner on all of my boots. It doesnt darken them.

Also buy you a good pair of boot trees and leave them in the boots anytime they are not worn.

If they're the AQHA's they'll break in after just a couple times of wearing. Great boots!
