    That is a congo eel. I found one last year in a dried up duck marsh. Google "congo eel" and see some pics very similar to yours. Creepy little suckers!!

                      We had a stock tank in Corpus that was loaded with those things. Siren salamander or mud dog. I took one up to high school and kept it in a aquarium and fed it liver for several weeks. We caught one on a trot line once that was about 3 feet long....they are slimey.

                        Not to sure what it is but I caught something similar running crawfish traps in the Trinity River bottom a few years back. Nasty Looking Thing
