Snake in my washing machine!

I had just washed a load of clothes and I was transferring everything to my drier…Well, I ended up uncovering a 3' Chicken Snake under the clothes! I'm not afraid of snakes, so I grabbed him and made a hasty trip outside so my wife wouldn't see it. She is TERRIFIED of snakes and she would want to move after this. Needless to say, I'm re-washing everything.

Question is, how in the world did he get there?!

LOL, no…

Could it go through the dryer vent and get to the washing machine though? I'll be sealing that. I do that to houses when we do a rodent exclusion (pest control) and I have some 1/2" screen that I use.

Do you have septic tank or field line? When I was a kid we had a water snake in the bath tub and that the only way we could figure it got in. Mom was not happy at 2 am when she was tryin to tee tee and dad wouldnt wake up to kill it
