Just wanted to congratulate Leonel Monzano of Marble Falls for bringing home the silver. I had the pleasure of racing Leonel in high school and college. There couldn't be a more deserving person to achieve this great feat. 1st American since Jim Ryun to medal in the 1500. The other American Centrowitz was forth by a narrow margin.

I wish I could say I beat him but I never did. We raced mostly in cross country which wasn't his forte or mine either. But as most world class athletes are concerned they are tough at any distance.
