How many of you have a rapport with the GW in your area?

I see a lot of forums discussing the gray and not so gray letter of the law with regards to TPWD regulations. So I was curious how many of you know or have some sort of rapport or atleast called the Game Warden who is in your area?

For me and I know Randy Harper is the GW that I call when hunting in Limestone county (and there may be others as well) and I even have is cell number and I do thecourtesy call before spotlighting hogs.

We have a great rapport with our GW. Small town area and we wanted to know him well, so we called him out and got to know him. Made things easier when there is a problem.

We have an awesome rapport with our GW's in Zapata co. We set up a youth hunt a few years back with the local GW's and kids from town, They brought them out organized it all and we donated blinds and time. It was great!! They shot a bunch of hogs and does and had a blast. We also have given keys to the ranch to them. A large portion of our ranch boarders a county rd,so poaching is always a concern. They have set up many stings by using are gates.Great group of hard working men!

GW seems to be every body's good friends, according to them.

Yep - Known our GW for about 10 years. Always call him before the season or before we go spotlighting. Our property has NO fence, so he'll do drive-arounds for us on a regular basis to help keep the poachers off. That's a big help since the farm is 300 miles away from where I live.

This is the first year im on my new lease but the guys that are on with us have been on this lease for 7 years and they stay in touch with him he even has a key to are cook shack that has a phone and bathroom in it they told him to check on it for us and if he needs to use it .

Now when it comes to my varmint hunting areas i always find out who the local game warden is and always let him know when im night hunting that way if he spots a spotlight or someone calls in he knows who it is we never have any problems

I am friendly with one of the GWs here in Llano, athough he just recently got promoted into Austin, but I am not sure who the GW is in P-town. I'll have to look it up. I think the one I knew is retired. Arthur McCall.

One of ours is my parents next door neighbor. Does getting to know them help? No, but not doing anything illegal sure does.
