    Solid gun. Been around forever.

It'll get the job done and is pretty inexpensive, but there's definitely better ones out there.

Uncle has one that's prob as old as I am. It's an all synthetic. Still killing with no problems. I think they go around $700 for the synthetics. Is the sporting clays wood stock?

The only problems I had was in cold weather. The O ring broke. Just put some extras in your case.

I've got two of them. A Premier and a Special Purpose. I love both of mine.

Every once in a while I'll have a light dove load (7/8 oz) hang up but have no problem cycling the heavy dove loads (1 oz).

But remember with any auto loader, gotta keep them clean.

You guys must be youngsters! The 11-87 was introduced in 1987.

As JCK said, there are better shotguns, but for the price, it is solid. I have one for duck;geese shooting, and it does the job.

Yup, all it basically is is a 1100 that is capable of shooting 3" shells.

But the 11-87 Super Magnum is capable of shooting 3 1/2" shells.

Ouch ported barrel, invest in ear muffs as well. I bet that's a pretty sharp looking gun being wood and nickel receiver.

X2 on the 7/8 oz light loads, that's a headache anyday. I normally won't even buy the 1oz loads, my 1100 doesn't really like them either.

Funny thing though, I've been shooting 3" out of my 1100 for a while now and haven't had any problems. I wanted an 11-87 when I got the 1100 but the funds weren't there. Guess I didn't need it anyway. It's close to 15 yrs old and still has the original o-ring in it. Don't know how it's been through the ringer.

If its a magnum receiver, it's 3" capable. The barrel will be marked with a "M"

I've killed more ducks with 3" duck loads in my 1187's than I care to count!
