It'll get the job done and is pretty inexpensive, but there's definitely better ones out there.Originally posted by BBReezen View PostUncle has one that's prob as old as I am. It's an all synthetic. Still killing with no problems. I think they go around $700 for the synthetics. Is the sporting clays wood stock? The 11-87 was introduced in 1987.
As JCK said, there are better shotguns, but for the price, it is solid. I have one for duck;geese shooting, and it does the job.

But the 11-87 Super Magnum is capable of shooting 3 1/2" shells.

Funny thing though, I've been shooting 3" out of my 1100 for a while now and haven't had any problems. I wanted an 11-87 when I got the 1100 but the funds weren't there. Guess I didn't need it anyway. It's close to 15 yrs old and still has the original o-ring in it. Don't know how it's been through the ringer.
