    Anniversary Trips...?

Guys and Girls here on the GS, I need some help planning a special 1 year anniversary trip for my wife and myself. I have been giving all the trips a lot of thought and have narrowed them down...i was wondering what ideas maybe some of you could throw out and tips for any of the destinations that some of you'll have been and can warn me about troubles occured or places to visit when around. We would leave on Friday September 7, 2012 and return September 12, 2012 for my choices, She always lets me make the choices and plan the trips because I'm the organized one (she calls it OCD)
Our anniversary is 9/10/12, married on 9/10/11(I know easy to remember)

    1. NYC (fly)
Stay down near Times Square or Central Park
-Statue of Liberty, Grand Central Station, Times Sq, Central Park, WTC, etc and hit up some good eats...I want to be there for the anniversary of 9/11 and attend the memorial.
    2. Cabo San Lucas (fly)
Relax on the beach w/ cold drink & hot woman (wife)
    scuba/ snorkel w/ dolphins & fish
    Atv's/ jeeps
    3. Cruise to Cozumel from Galveston
Everything and anything thats legal on the boat
Relax on the beach w/ cold drink & hot woman (wife)
    4. Trip to the Grand Canyon (Drive)
We would drive and be one with the road & camera
Tx-Carlsbad, Roswell, Sante Fe -Flagstaff, Phoenix, Tucson-Las Cruces and Back in Texas through El Paso to show her the I-10 strip.
Carlsbad Caverns, Roswell (Alien), Santa Fe Sunset, Petrified Forest and Grand Canyon and cruise on back snapping pics along the way home from Falgstaff to Fort Stockon...
Her choices were a B&B in the Hill Country or POC stay w/ guided trips

I know I sound like the women in the relationship, but i dont get much time for nothing with work and the business, so I like to GO Big or GO home...Sorry for the long read, but let me know what insight you throw out and deals if any

    Thank u, Cuatro

We went on a cruise for our first and it was without a doubt the most relaxing time we've ever shared together. Went out of Galveston on the Carnival Conquest to Costa Maya, Progresso and Cozumel. If it were me I'd do it all over again for sure and we're already planning to do it again for our 5th.

9/11/12 Won't be the 10th anniversary of 9/11... It's the 11th anniversary. Not sure if that changes your plans. Good luck!! And all those look like fun!

          I'll comment on a couple:
NYC is very expensive, especially in Manhattan. As a South Texas country boy, I thought I would HATE NYC, but I found the place & people fascinating. I would definitely like to go back, even after 3 trips there. There is lots of stuff to do & see where ever you look.
The Grand Canyon is one place that literally took my breath away the first time I saw it. Lots to do & see there as well.
Haven't been to Cozumel, but did go to Cancun. My personal opinion: "Concan, not Cancun." I prefer the quiet tranquility of the hill country to the sights & sounds of a Mexico beach.
None of that probably helps, but I'm sure you'll both have a blast whatever you choose.

Any of those sound good honestly. I mentioned to my wife I want to go to the Western Hunting Expo in Salt Lake City next year and she said that would be a great trip for our anniversary, blew my mind. She hunts on occasion but I didn't expect that. I would say whatever you think will make her happy but I have the feeling any trip would do that.

My wife and I are going to Telum (south of Cancun) Mexico for our 1st anniversary. Our anniversary was in June, but with both our work schedules we are going in September.

We are both ready for a getaway.

We did the cruise. Only thing I'd do different is limit the shore excursions. Didn't seem like we spent much time chillin' on the boat. That was 20 yrs ago. I just take her to Dairy Queen now...

Grand Canyon will we warm still in Sept. I was there this spring and it takes my breath away every time I see it.

I've been to Cabo and loved it. Water sports, food, night life - all great.

I always worry about a cruise.

We just got back from Whitehouse, Jamaica and stayed at the Sandals resort and it was awesome. It's all Inclusive and couples only. Highly suggest this place
