Ol Phil said it best on one of the earlier videos...
Taste ratings on ducks.
1. Mr. Teal and mr. Wood duck... These are a close race go good just about any way you cook them.
2. Widgeon... Little stouter taste but still good.
3. Ole green head mallard... Go good in a gumbo or a stew...
Gets down to the end
Oh look out folks here he is mr Hollywood himself, the ole spoonbill. Let's face it folks this is for when times get hard.

Hey!
The only spoonie I ever cooked up was terrible. Fried her up. Dipped in hot sauce. Still couldn't stand the taste. Spoonies work ok for jerky though!

Spoonies are kinda like that cedar plank salmon stuff, scrape the salmon off in the trash can and eat the plank.
Getting back to duck dynasty, that's my moms favorite show. She has the duck quack on her iPhone as her ringer now.
