Trophy Ridge dropzone gone bad!

First of I love shooting this rest but I went out to sight in with some new arrows and got a suprise. My bow was really loud and I couldn't figure out why . I finally looked at my rest and the spring loaded drop door only went down halfway and was making contact with my arrows. Gander said that they will replace it but I figured I would ask if this is a common problem. Oh and in the rests defence I shoot alot and hunt pigs pretty hard with the bow so it gets pretty abused.

That rest has 2 springs that ride on 2 screws that hold the body together. It is very common for the constant compression of those 2 screws to weaken them and the rest quits dropping completely and/or fast enough. It is simple enough to take it apart and clean and stretch those springs back into position to restrengthen them. Moving parts require more maintenance than non-moving parts.
