They are on the right track. Slowly move Michael Young down the lineup card and eventually leave him off of it completely. Breaks me heart but this is business and all about winning. He isn't cutting it with the bat and he def is a sub par defensive player.

This would be the ideal lineup everyday IMO

I don't think you can call this an ideal everyday lineup because it includes a guy who's never played an inning in the major leagues before. Right now you have to include Gentry in Center and DH Murph, against a righty anyway. I agree with sitting Murph to start the game against CJ tonight.

Lefty starter. Day off I'm sure. Olt is going to serve as the "right-handed 1B/corner outfielder they would have picked up before the trade deadline if they could have found one" guy.

I do like the idea of Olt against C.J.....it may not work, but C.J. may just get a little cocky with the rook and watch one go into the visitors bullpen.

Olt can't be any worse than Michael Young. Michael Young has an OPS that is in the top 15 WORST among major league regulars. That is flat terrible. So hell yes- give the kid a shot.

If he fails this season then so be it. Play Gentry everyday. But please take Young out of the everday lineup
