I'm sticking with the old standby the "Yukki", for $385 I can buy about 30 of these coolers.
They're basically a "high end" cooler without the fancy roto molded kayak plastic, high end latches, a gasket in the lid and a cool hole drilled in it for your pad lock.
Oh and they're not grizzly proof nor do they have cool sponsors like Jim Shockey or Skinny.
They are worth every dime and if you take care of them they'll last the entire summer.
here's one for you what if you spray it with bed liner just a thought...lol
Assuming your $385 was before tax, so you should have paid around $416.77 with tax.
I could buy 4x120qt max cold igloos,$64.94 each after tax, and replace all the parts on the igloos twice during the life cycle of each cooler for $389.60 total with Uncle Sam getting his part every time.
I'm willing to bet my four igloos will out last your single yeti. Since I've had the same igloo 120 for the past five years, and have not had to replace anything yet. That would leave me three more igloos to go through, and eight sets of complete replacement parts to go.
Enjoy your Yeti
I have an igloo in my truck that's less than a year old. It sucks. If you fill it up with ice it pushes the front wall so far out that there's a 1/2" gap when the lid closes. It keeps ice almost long enough for me to get back to the rig from town. If I hurry I might make it before all of my food ruins.

Let me know what the yeti is like in the back of your truck after every day for two or three years
Don't forget to stock up on hinges, drain covers and clasps.
Hey Smart, the clasp bust up very quick and when they do i dont repair them. If needed one of them $0.99 bungee cords works great!!!
Ive never had a problem with the drain plugs...period!!!
The hinges do break when the lid is miss treated but i found a way to prevent that before it happens..
At the end still a darn good bargain even if i decided to buy 3-4 repair kits.
I dont make yalls money so im not telling yall how to spend it. Im just stating what has work for me and most of all people before the Yeti hype. Enjoy yalls Yeti's...
Ahhh, come on Smart. Hunting artifacts a waste of time? Dude, that's quality family time and I don't lose money but actually triple it if I wanted to. If you ever came with me, you would have a different point of view for sure.
Went back and edited my post....didn't want you to take that the wrong way.
Possible longevity...I like that. From a yeti hater to a yeti lover overnight, in pure S M A R T fashion. Now now my friend...vacation time with my family is not a waste of time. If you ever have kids, you will understand. Oh, and I never have wasted money hunting artifacts. Quite the opposite....quality time with the family and my money returned to me and then some.
