    Unethical Shots On TV Lately

Any of y'all been seeing the vast amount of unethical shots on these tv hunting shows lately. SAw 2 tonight. One was an inexperienced first time woman shooting a Muley buck head on and the other was a bow shot at a very quick moving whitetail. Not a good portrayal of us hunters. Really irritated me tonight and confirmed why I quit watching them. All but Lone Star Surf and Turf that is. Get em Skinny!!!!!

I've seen lots of bad shots lately too. It happens. But they have been honest about it and explained. They used to just play it off.
It's better than watching the real housewives of whatever that my wife wants to watch all the time.

I don't really watch hunting shows anymore. There's too much Hollywood and not enough killing. Might change once season starts but I bet I haven't watch outdoor channel since December.

IMO, any shot that results in a dead animal is ethical.

Two that stand out over the years are, 1. Guy shoots a buck running straight away from him. Says he shot him in the back of the neck but never showed it. 2. A major country star shoots a buck that is swimming across a tank at at ranch in South Texas. Buck "drops" in the middle of the tank and starts to sink. They dart over trying to retrieve it. Edited later, the buck is wet and muddy but they are clean and dry.

I have seen people shoot one is the rear end straight up the poop shoot and it die. Go figure? I would be all over any partner I hunt with that took that shot. Bottom line is if its legal its legal. There is a shot straight on but its a small apple. I wouldnt take that shot unless i was 10 yards or less. I wait for the broadside...cause to me it results in more chance of a clean kill. I hate wounding animals. Hate it. What anyone else does thats not hunting with me is pretty much their deal. We have to define ethical to know what is ethical to all. Tough cookie.

The heart is the same size no matter what angle you approach it.

Bit yeah have seen some shot angles you normally don't see lately.

Quoted for truth right there. Will take "man that was a tough shot angle" over 99% of tv now a days.
