    Protective over bow

Hey guys, how do y'all feel about lending your bow to a friend or letting them shoot it? Be honest!

    Lending - Never!
Let them shoot - Only with me standing there!

If I've seen them shoot before and they know what to do and not to do. Also a major determining factor is how well they take care of their own equipment.

Is this for just to shoot it while you're with him or him borrowing it to go shoot/hunt?

You keep your old bows to loan out and hunt with the new one. If you only have one, well your friends need to buy their own.

Pretty much how I feel with the exception of maybe 2 guys that I trust enough. I know they're careful, and I know if they broke it, they have the means to fix it.

Not a good thing to do with my primary hunting bow..no one touches it. but I do have extra bows to lend out to people who want to learn...whisker bisket included.

Not my primary. But I have an extra one they would be welcome to use

I have a bow that if anyone is brave enough to shoot I will let them. But it isn't the bow I use the most.

It depends on the friend. Most of my friends are more valuable than my bow.

Well if he is a true friend then I would loan it to him. That is providing he is proficient with it. Also remember the bow is just stuff. It can be replaced and fixed.

3 main rules in this household.

                        NEVER loan your Bow/Gun
                        NEVER loan your truck
                        NEVER loan your girl

Only if he has a comparable bow that is (for some reason) unavailable. That could show me he has the experience to handle it properly AND it shows me what my 'new' bow will look like if he messes mine up.

Only one person I trust enough to loan I'll let any of my buddy's with a little common sense shoot my bow with me present

I must be the major exception. I pretty much refuse to loan anything to anyone. But I also pretty much refuse to borrow stuff too
