I don't believe killing ones self is right in any means. It is the easy way out.

However, Tgridley, if you don't understand that depression does awful things to your mind, you have a lot of catching up to do. Depression can mentally and physically kill you.

I also agree that there is a lack of respect for the deceased family by saying, basically good riddance. We are better than that.

Thanks Travis, for you I will reconsider. However, I didn't say I didn't understand it I just don't have the same view as some.

He lived right next to my brother at Ft. Hays State in the university apartments! He said it was common for lots of police activity and other activity at their apartment!

I dont think tgridley was saying good ridence to the guy, just that for him he has no sympathy. I myself feel much the same way, I do feel deep sympathy for the family and friends left behind. No matter your mental state suicide is a choice and I feel that if you really do know Jesus then even at your rock bottom you will not turn to suicide, you will turn to the lord for help and he will never lead you down that path. To me (and I am by no means a person who goes to church 10 times a week or carries a bible with me 24/7) but suicide is close to saying that there is no God because if you believe you also know that the Lord will be with you through everything and you will never really be alone.

From first hand experience I can assure you, this is NOT always the case. Not only was I a Believer, but I was in full time ministry at the time. Sin is powerfully deceitful and blinding - even for Believers. I've known multiple people who've lost battles to suicide, and I wouldn't question the belief of a single one of them.

No intentional disrespect to anyone who's weighed in on this, but do you believe you could describe *in specific detail* the plot and characters from a book you've never read?

I understand that everyone is entitled to you opinion, but it gets hard to hear guys explain to me what I was thinking...

Most of yall dont have a clue on the effect of deep depression because you haven't experienced it. You can say "I would never do this" or "I would never do that", but the truth is you just dont know how its going to affect you until it grabs you and doesnt let go. I thought the same way until I went through it. I reached out every avenue possible from church, friends, family, books, and counseling, and even though they provided temp relief, nothing was permanent. Depression takes you on an emotional ride that nobdy should have to endure. Point is....you'll never know how you r going to react in ANY situation until you experience it.

The portions from the bible are interesting also. I guess that is were folks say "death penalty" is a crime also. As a man made the decision to take the life. Whew..........this interpretation of stuff can definitely get crazy!!! Any updates on the players demise???
