    Feeder Pen Question

I have done quite a few searches but couldint find the answer to my question. I just got on a new lease this year and there are alot of hogs around. I put up a couple feeders and i have got tons of trail cam pics of hogs and deer, but obviously more hogs than deer. I have decided to put up a feeder pen around one of the feeders to give it a try. The problem i have is i have 4 shooting lanes that are 20-30 feet wide with some pretty thick brush lining the lanes. Would it be worth it to run the panels along the brush and then just run 2 panels across the shooting lane making a big rectangle shaped feeder pen? Thanks for any advice you can give me.

your gona get 10,000 answers on this.i have had 16' x16' feeder pens that worked and i have hunted places that had 40'x40' pens. just as long as you can shoot into it is all that matters. at least to me.

Big (& Easy) is best when building feeder pens in the heat.
I don't think the shape make a lot of difference to the deer.
Cut it down a little (height) in a location that you have a good shot from your stand.

Right now my pen is maybe 40' wide
And 100' long, BUTTTT I use my pen as a clover
Patch with very little corn use. I feed 1 sec once a day
And it seems to keep the hogs away.

go smaller only if money is an issue.

I can go probably 75-80 yards long on either side of the feeder. I guess my question is will the fact that its only 20-30 ft wide cause an issue?

I'm guilty of what I've always heard and thats having pens that i wished were bigger.

i have 10 panel and 12 panel if i had it to do again they'd be 16 panels minimum

whatever size you use just be sure to put plenty of t-post in the ground because those pigs can get mean with those panels.
