    Jo Jan problem

I received a Jo Jan Multifletcher for Christmas with right helical clamps. I am trying to fletch A/C/C 3-49's and 3-60's and cannot get all of the fletch to contact the shaft. The upper portion is off the shaft. I have now read that helical clamps may not work on some carbon shafts due to the small diameter. (I wish I would have known this before) Is anyone fletching A/C/C's with this jig and if so what is the trick to using it? Jo Jan should tell you which shafts won't work and not let you find this out after you get the darn thang.....

I have the exact same problem with my acc's. I'm loosing fletchings left and right. I believe there is a way to tune the Jo Jan for different arrows, I just don't know how.

Did you try adjusting the receiver and the rest? I fletch my CX and even 1916s with mine... What diameter are the ACC's?

I've had pretty good luck just leaving a small gap between the base of the fletching and the clamp. I'm sure there is a better fix for the problem but I've done it this way for a while without any problems.

I really haven't messed with it at all. I started using it right out of the box with my Bemans with no issue. not sure about the acc's diameter, but noticably thinner than the Bemans I was shooting before. Never had this problem with those shafts.

The JoJans are adjustable with 2 screws on the receiver block on the back and one on the rest plate. Play with it a little and, well, I just don't know of a better fletcher.

I agree with Tracy,I bought a Blitzenberger cheap enough recently <LH> and to be honest the JOJAN does a better job due to the fact I had spacing in between fletcher and shaft, that dont happen with the JoJan

Yes you can adjust the Jo-Jan's. You will just have to play with it to get it just right.

See my reply on Bow Vistas Jo Jan thread. I just replied to his before I saw this one.

What LostHawg said. I use a JoJan multifletcher on ACCs, and once you get it set right, they do a great job.

That's what I've done for a helical fletching clamp with Blazers and they stopped being unglued on the ends. Leave bout 1/16" sticking out of the bottom of the clamp above the base of the fletch, and then when I push the clamp and fletching onto the arrow, the middle of the fletching (the "high point") get's pushed towards the clamp, and the ends stay in contact with the arrow.

Yep, you just need to adjust it to take some of the helical out of it.
