When you bought those from Chris did he not tell you they're waterproof? You didnt have to build an awning over them- rain aint gonna hurt em at all.
And did you mean your "wife" helped? Cuz you said "wide". I hope she's not a lurker.. Lol
Just kidding about the awning- paint job looks great! Love the turtle blinds.

I will say though- these blinds are NOT crap. They are seriously the nicest blind i have sat in. I like them because they will last forever, they have quality windows, and they are lightweight enough that they can be moved to a different hunting spot if needed. On top of that, Chris is a top notch guy. Just my .02 about these blinds...
