Make sure its a torn muscle and not a burst disc like mine was. I was told by a Dr that I had pulled a muscle in my shoulder. Then the numbness showed up in a week. Watch for numbness in your arm. Hoping for a speedy recovery.

Been close to the same boat. I coughed so hard while I was sick about 8 months ago that I tore some cartilage from my rib cage. Hurt like heck for the first two weeks and still took me about a month and a half to get back to normal.

Good luck heres to a speedy recovery.
