Ok my TBH brothers and sisters.
As luck landed on me this morning I happen to acquire an 8' by 20' trailer house for my deerlease. It has a single axel and tires look to be good.

Now here is the question. How can I pull this to my lease without getting a ticket? I can make the lights work and will have a trailing truck behind me.
The guy I got it from owns a small construction business and used it for an office for years. The tidal has been lost.

Can I just put a big "In Tow" on it or what?
Travel will be from Pasadena to Devers. About 1 to 1-1/2 hour travel time. What can I do to get this Gold to my lease?

I would try it, but I am not sure on the legalities. I have a flatbed trailerI haul around with no plates. If I get stopped I just act like the plate must have fallen off.

Slap it on a farm tractor and take your time. Can pull anything with a farm tractor!!!

8x20 is smaller than most travel trailers now-a-days.
I'd just get the lights working and take it.
Be sure and have a bill of sale from your buddy, just in case.

edit: I can't remember what the width is, 10-12' or whatever where you need a wide load sign,
any sign on this is just going to draw attention to you.

You can get a permit to haul it I think it will be good for 48 hrs

I believe you can get a permit for transport from the DMV or DPS, it is only good for a short time period and only for the vehicle intended.

I got a temp tag for my Fema trailer when I moved it from Brazoria county to Kerr County. Should be able to do the same for this.

The guy is going to grease the bearings for me. I have known him for almost 12 years. Him, his dad and his dads brother.

He is pulling it out. Cleaning it out. Packing the bearings and checking the tires. But the trailer is free. That's a good guy. We need about 400 million more on this planet.

yes, $25 dollar one day travel sticker....or if you get stopped it will cost you about $145 in court cost...

I think they call them one trip permits. You get them where you register your vehicles. 8 X 20 should not be a problem.

Got to get a 2-5/16 ball now.

Anyone know where I can get a couple trailer house wheels for spares incase it blows one out?
