Here is a list of Cruz's opinions based on statements he has made.

Here is a list of Dewhurst's opinions based on voting and statements.

More telling to me is the blatant dishonesty in Dewhurst's ads and the fact that he challenged Cruz to a debate in spanish.

Since Dewhurst personally killed the sanctuary city bill ( to outlaw these) and the TSA reforms for Texas, Cruz will get my vote this time.

I waited until after the debate last night before I voted. My opinions are my own, but I'll give you my why's and what for's...

I want someone who will stand firm on principles and not "go along to get along"... Doh!hurst has a history of "negotiating"... (AKA giving in to get along...)

I want someone who can fight for me in Washington... Doh!hurst will be a disaster when it comes to debating on capitol hill... speech impediment or not. Cruz was obviously better prepared for the debate last night, and it showed.

Cruz is a lawyer and though I'm not too fond of that, I think to be a quick thinker and good at expressing views to gain support for his point of view is very important. He seems to jive with most of my points of view.

Doh!hurst just has a weak presence about him... he's a nice guy, but I don't necessarily want a "nice" guy representing me in Washington. I want someone that is a bulldog on the issues I believe in and for me, the best of the lot is Cruz.

Doh!hurst actually got caught in a lie right on stage last night when he tried to say that the NRA endorsed him (which they did not). Cruz called him on it and Doh!hurst looked stunned and not sure what to say next... He actually finally responded that he stood corrected and that he was referring to local NRA members support, which as far as I know, there are no "local" chapters of the NRA... it's pretty much a national homogeneous group...

And no small factor was the fact that the Houston Chronicle supports Doh!hurst... that's reason enough right there to vote Cruz.

The ONLY reason I could ever think electing Doh!hurst to another office is to get him out of the Lt.Governor's spot, so maybe something important can actually get done in the Texas Legislature

he's not just a fast talker, there is a reason he is endorsed by the NRA and the tea party, he's inteligent, stands his ground and doesnt flip flop on issues, you can vote for who you see fit but dewhurst is the same ol same ol when it comes to politics, he's the kind of person who got us in this position

              Wow, Slick, you nailed it.

4 votes from my family for Cruz.

Well Barrack Obama sounds like a Muslim name to me and America voted him into office 7 years after 9/11.......

Maybe Cruz should put a cowboy hat on and have a Copenhagen imprint on his suit pants.

I have not really followed this very closely, but I have read things about both, but I have seen things about both candidates that I have not seen in reports or other media. Thanks to the TBH bretheren, looks like I could make a educated decision on who to support in this election. Thanks for all the insight on both form TBH.

Credit unions are basically banks, but they get to play by a different set of rules. They are squeezing out local banks that have to play by the same rules as the big banks that caused a lot of the financial mess we currently have.

Dewhurst got busted last night saying "The NRA backs him". Cruz called him out and he quickly backpeddled saying that it was a local NRA group. I like the fact that the Teaparty supports cruz.
