at 4:30am I go to check the ac and....

as soon as I make it out the door to my truck to get a flashlight, what to I see strolling down the street?.......

    A FREAKIN' COYOTE!

    IN THE HOOD.....

I stood there and gazed with a dropped jaw for a few seconds as he came strolling down the street, turned down our other street and continued down the corner street....

I stared at him in disbelief trying to make sense that it was someone's pooch out for a stroll....but I don't think so....

granted it was 4:30 am.....maybe I am just delirious from the ac going out?

I have to be at work at 3:30am. I see them all the time right in the middle of Big D. They cruze Walnut Hill, Inwood and several other streets here in town. I've seen a fox runnin down Walnut Hill a couple of times. One night we had a bobcat in the tree out front here on Lemmon Ave.. These city folk would freak out if they saw what is runnin around here at night.

I'm starting to see more coyotes in the city than in the woods...

They have it easier scavenging and hunting in town, than in the sticks.

I seen them all the time in Sansom Park in the middle of the night because we had a HUGE stray cat problem. Easy meals for them.

When I worked nights, saw them all of the time in the parking lots here at work in Hurst. Last year I was doing a lot of walking in the early morning hours to shed a few extra pounds. I was surprised when one stepped out in front of me from a drainage area in my hood.
I love to hunt them, one of my best spots was 400 acres inside the FT.Worth city limits!

You should've got a call and whacked him when he came into your yard!

Hope you get your ac fixed....

They're all over the midcities. Seems especially the fox.

It's amazing how easily coyotes and bobcats can adapt to living in close proximity to humans. They become mostly nocturnal and consequently are rarely seen.
