Being thankful for unanswered prayers

How many of you have prayed for something that you wanted real bad, but never received it? Or, on the other hand you may have gotten what you were wanting and it turned out to be something less desireable and maybe wasn't a good thing after all.

I can say that I am thankful that some prayers in the past haven't gone my way, because in hindsight things are better for it.

Be careful for what you pray for or want, because some things aren't as they seem and may not bring what you think they will.

prayed for the lotto a lot but obviously I haven't won it yet....
but money makes people bad so I guess its a good thing

I have definitely prayed for some things that i am thankful did not pan out. It is weird too because i am thankful for my struggles with different things because now i realize more and i am more level headed.

I've prayed for jobs and relationships to work out and got neither sometimes. It's lead me to where I'm at and I'm happy for that. It's frustrating at the time that you're not getting what you need, but God knows what you need and if you didn't get it, there was a reason for it IMO.
