I just had my first a couple weeks ago at age 59. Should have had it much earlier since that's what got my grandfather at 65. Thank God mine came out clear! The prep is a pain, but not all that bad. I've gone through much worse things in my life.
What was bad was what the scope found at the other end (I hope they at least wiped it off). I have very bad acid reflux! No citrus at all and no hot sauce!I don't mind other foods I have to stay away from as much as I'll miss those.

I did that on September 22, 2001.
It's not that bad. My doctor warned me after the procedure do not buy ANYTHING for the rest of the day. Apparently the anesthetic affect the part of the brain that handles making logical decisions involving money.
He had one patient stop at a Chevy dealer, trade-in his car and drive home in a new Corvette.
He had another patient who insisted on going back to the office. Hard-charging, silicon valley CEO. He bought another company that he shouldn't have.Last edited by Bill; 07-19-2012, 04:20 PM.
