    Best struts for Impala?

It looks like I will need new struts for my 2001 Impala. I spend a lot of time driving this car, mostly on the highway. I am looking for a smooth, comfortable ride.

What is the best, reasonably priced strut out there?

Mostly they are all about the same. There are only three major manufacturers in the USA for them. Monroe happens to be the biggest name. Just buy from a quality parts house and you will be fine.

I would recommend KYB GR2 you can purchase them from Oreilly auto parts, that's what i typically suggest to most people whom i do work for. Make sure the mounts are in good condition also, generally a good idea to replace them when doing new struts.

Get some "quick struts" from Rockauto.com. I just bought some in the Monroe flavor for the daughters Honda. The quick struts include the mounts and the struts and the springs all in one package all put together.
