Moody Gardens - Help Needed !

Hello Green Screen Friends We Need Your Help.

My husband and I and our son along with my brother, his wife and three kids are planning a trip to Moody Gardens, the Palm Beach section. Our son is 14 months old and LOVES the water. I want to take him to the beach but can't stand all that seaweed. Have any of you been to the Palm Beach at Moody Gardens? If so what'd you think? Also we are thinking of maybe staying the night. Any suggestions on hotels in that area that aren't $150+ a night you could recommend? Thanks for your help.

We were at Moody Gardens last weekend on a family Vacation. The 'palm beach' is a man made 'beach' in the MG complex about 300 yds from the back of the hotel. It is not on the water at all. Think of it as a small water park with sand everywhere. Great for small kids. All kind of stuff to climb on and get wet. Definitly more pleasurable than the real beach.

This is correct, sorry I can't help on the hotel they are pricy this time of year. You may can stay on the mainland if you don't mind driving a little, like at Texas City.
