tpwd draw question about mutiliple hunts

why is it that I can only put in for one archery hunt? What if I do not get drawn for the 1 hunt I can put in for, I do not have any other options then?

or am I crazy and can put in for multiple archery hunts, because on the site once I choose one and try to add another it tells me I've already choose 1 archery hunt and have to choose something else.

you are only allowed to put in for one hunt category. so yes, if you put in for archery at gus engling..you can not put in for chaparal. you would have to put in for either sex, gun, or something else.

You can only apply for one hunt per hunt category (example 1 location for GDA, and 1 location for GDE)

One HUNT CATEGORY is the key. ADE (Archery Deer) is a category. Archery Exotic is a different category. AMD (Archery Mule Deer) is a different category. There's 3 archery categories right there you can put in for. Just can't put in for more than one hunt in each category.

Also, check for weapons allowed.
Some are muzzloader only, or maybe they allow rifle or bow.

Each draw has different rules.

You're only other option is try and make a few standby's if not drawn.

I say I'm going to do this every year but don't. They're either too far or are in the middle of the week. Just can't justify all that for a standby.

i did this last year for a gator. 27 other people had the same idea! needless to say i drove 3 hours back home.

Last year I believe. I guess I'm old school. I still send mine in. Took me about 2 hours the other night to fill them all out.
