Join the club. I don't think we have a TBher that does upholstry.

Do you recover the seats in-house or do you sub out?

I've got a set of samurai seats I'm needing redone.

Jeep seats are easy enough to do at home.

Now is the time of year to do them as well. Set the vinyl out in the sun so it gets hot and soft, turn them inside out, and peel them down on the foam and frame (I add a little spray adhesive at the same time so they don't get funky later) and get after the hog rings before it cools down too much.

Once the vinyl cools back down, they are nice and tight. I'll bet you and Reed can get them knocked out in an afternoon easy.

Never done a boat seat, no help there...

                    I assume you're using pre-made,pre-sewn seat covers?

my father has been doing it for 48 years, but he lives in Taylor. you would have to drop off and pick up.

Yes, that is correct. For most popular vehicles, there are pre sewn options out there. I've done Jeeps, Mustangs, Broncos, Camaros, a Nova and a Vette this way. Plenty of them are even available with leather or cloth instead of vinyl.

If taking them apart, it is a good time to go ahead and order a pre cut foam set at that time as well to replace the broken down cushions as well.
