    Anyone read Born to Run?

Just finished Born to Run by Christopher McDougall

    I highly recommend it.

    Anyone else read it?

It has me running again. It motivated me and pointed out that as far as my shoes go...less might be more. I've got a couple bad discs and am running pain free with minimalist shoes.

I haven't read it but a lot of my friends have recommended it to me - I'm a big runner. It's a big book in the running community. It's next on my list once I finish Atlas Shrugged.

its a great read. I read it a couple of years ago. It does challenge conventional thought on modern running shoes.

Great book. Been looking for "The Art of Tracking: The Origin of Science." The running man theory is the most interesting part of the book.

I've been meaning to read it.
My grandpa stayed with the Tahumara Indians for a long time back in the day (I think the '50s or '60s). They taught him how to make the sandals they wear. Afterwards, that's just about all he would wear. Wish I had got to meet him before he passed away, I would have loved to ask him a bunch of questions about them.
My mom ended up going down there and visiting the tribe and my grandpa passed away.
They're an awesome people, of which not much has been known about until recently.

                  Read it... real good read.

I have always been a distance runner, it really opened my mind in regards to what the human body is capable of.

No kidding. Running 50 or 100 or 150 miles nonstop. I also read Dean Karnazes's book Ultramarathon Man....it was funny how they made fun of him in Born to Run
