I have have been wondering what kind of tree this is for the last 5 years. I have 2 of them in my back yard. They do not flower or produce fruit.

I thought it was a persimmon tree, but it doesnt grow any persimmons. I know next to nothing about trees. Would some produce persimmons while others do not? I have 2 of them and neither of them produce anythng other than leaves.

Male persimmon trees do not produce, but this would be the first slick barked persimmon tree I have ever seen.

That tree looks like the 2 trees right at the dough nut in new port.
Smooth bark
Looks like a crepe to me

Def not crapemyrtle or persimmon. Persimmon have much darker, rougher bark.

kind of looks like the yaupon tree in my back yard where I hang a deer feeder and bird feeder...
Does it get red berries? Only the female yaupon get them so it may be a male (mine is).

I'm thinking male Texas persimmon.
Can you post a better picture of the leaves?
