    Havalon knives

Havalon has a new, stronger blade out for their replaceable knives. They say it will only fit the New Torch knife but I tried it in the original Piranta and it fit, although the slot wasn't the same size. Nevertheless, the new blades are stronger than the originals and I'm looking forward to skinning with 'em this year. Broke several in years past, especially caping skulls, and hope this new blade solves the problem. Here's their new description:
    NEW
Havel's #60A Blade for the Piranta Torch

At 20% thicker than our regular #60, the #60A resists breaking should you get a bit carried away with the twisting and pulling thing. Think of it as the #60 blade’s big brother. Same crazy sharp long-lasting edge, and no more sharpening. The #60A fits only the New Piranta Torch knives. One Dozen Foil Wrapped Blades Per Box.

I have looked at the Havalon knives. I have plenty of knives, but may buy one of those as well. they look pretty neat.

      Thanks for this, Ricky!

I love my Havalon and use it all the time. I've all but completley stopped using my custom knives since getting a Havalon. The blades do break fairly easy. Be good to have something stronger!

A dull knife sure is dangerous when you're tired and want to be done with an animal.

Simply changing the blades sure makes it nice.

I very rarely use my good knives any more.

Best knife I have ever used. Will not even attempt to clean a deer with any other.

Love mine and love how I can put it in my pocket and not even know it's there because it is so light.

I have the Havalon Tracer 22. Great knife. Making a stronger blade for it just adds to the greatness.

Been thinking about getting one for a couple years and this new blade may have just pushed me over the edge.
