Need help finding processor to process steer

Need to have a steer processed so I'm trying to find out if anyone on here has used someone in north Texas? I'm in Cooper so anywhere within an 11/2 hr would be fine. Let me know if you would recommend someone and also an estimate on the cost. thanks

I took a deer to hopkins county locker last year and wasn't impressed with there processing. I had also heard of people taking animals and not getting all their meat back. I witnessed a lady that works for the hopkins county sheriffs office that was in there complaining because she didn't get all her meat. I just like to be able to trust someone and not worry about getting screwed. Meat is high and I want everything off of the animal. Sorry for the complaining but thought I would let others know about them. Thanks for the help though.

Does jacks process wild hogs?? If they do are they pretty good at making things like hot links, german sausage,summer sausage..etc?

I never used them myself so I don't know much about them just knew there was one in S.S. close to ya. Paris has one also might check and see if anyone knows anyhting about them. We have one here in hunt ounty that I have hard good things about. It's in Merit towards Farmersville. Like I say heard good things about them and can get you the number.

I had a buddy get screwed by the one in Merit. Sulpur Springs does OK on cattle but don't take your deer there

All the more of why I do my own deer processing. I heard a good thing while ronny heard not so good. Only way to be safe. As for the steer, I hope you find a good one to take it to.

Jacks in trenton does not process wild hogs due to some regulations with the USDA. I use Hog Wild north of bonham, makes good jalpeno chesse summer sasuage and good peper sticks wich is like a big slim jim very good and spicy. The # is 903-640-0268 Name is Dave Shatto.

All jacks in trenton does is Cattle live feeder hogs and deer, For deer Hog Wild is a lot better. Jacks need to stick with livestock.
