I attached a pic of my current set-up, with a couple of changes I've been considering.
In the pic you can see where my feeder and tripod are currently located, the pins Labeled "New" are where I am thinking of moving stuff.
To the West about 200 yards of the Sendero marked "No stands allowed..." is a creek, there is a lot of activity in the creek, but lease rules do not allow for placement within 200 yards of the creek. Don't understand why, don't ask me.
The red path is the trail that a couple of younger does with fawns used like clockwork last season, I could set my watch every 45 minutes on those does making that circle. They did mix it up every now and then and come up and down that sendero.
The yellow path is the trail that a group of 7 does used each morning heading north, and would follow the same path in the evening heading south.
The Blue path is the trail that the 2 biggest bucks I saw last year used, they come up from the West from the Sendero marked "No stand placement allowed...". They would always without fail come up the feeder sendero, stop, look around and mosey off to the North. Never spooked, just looked around, act like they lost interest and wander off to the North.
The green shaded area around the "new" feeder and blind placement is where I am thinking of doing a Throw-n-Grow foodplot.
100 yards from Gun Blind to new feeder, 20 yards from new blind to new feeder.
What's the opinion of the GS? Any advice or other placement ideas? Let me have it!
Thanks.
