    Need help!!!!! Dog trainers

I recently aquired a 6 year old yello lab. Very good at retrieving birds. He is very smart, but I have a problem with him. My back yard is pretty big. Half of which is in st augustine grass. (manicured and nice looking) The other half is just native east texas grass. He has picked a spot in the st augustine, right beside the back door and porch to do his business (#2).
Anyone know why this is? If and how do i correct this.

Take him out on a leash when he needs to do his business. Lead him to the area that you would prefer him to utilize and don't release him from the leash until he has comleted his work. After doing this for a week or so, let him out without the leash. If he uses the correct area, your job is done. If not, continue with the leash training for another week.

Did you try HUMPING him? Lol. For real lead him way away and maybe put him on a lead tie out till he's done and soon he should go there on his own. If that don't work let him out in your neighbors back yard.
