Shark Tooth find at Padre Island

We were getting shells in a area where the surf seemed to be washing in a lot of shells. I was brushing sand away with my hand and would feels shells and bring them up out of the water. I felt something heavy land in my hand and was pumped when I saw what it was, a sweet shark tooth!!! I've looked many years down here for shark teeth in the surf and have never had any luck! Until today and I wasn't even looking for one!! Not sure what type it is or how old it is??? Anyone out there have any idea the type of shark? I was thinking Mako but????? Bonedigger you around??

Cool find, my daughter found one on the beach yesterday, but a few miles up the coast from yours. It was her first one too, I've still never found one..
