    Need a hide tanned!!

I shot my first axis on Saturday and would love to get the hide tanned. Ive got her caped out and the hide in the freezer. Its a beautiful hide and need a good taxi man to take care of it for me. If anyone knows of a good taxi man in the Austin area that doesnt charge an arm and a leg and does a good job please let me know. This hide would be as much as a trophy to me as a shoulder mount of a big deer would be so I want it to be nice. PLEASE HELP!!!

Consider shipping to North Texas Tannery in Denton. Don't quote me but its probably less than $60-70.
I've done 2 bear, 5-6 whitetail, caribou, & multiple other fox & yotes.

How would I ship it without it spoiling? Where would I ship it too?

Longhorn Tannery in Weimar also does really good work according to several threads on here. You cam do a search for their name to see reviews from their satisfied customers. The owners sons are also members on here.

                Congrats and good luck.

I called them not long ago and got a quote. He warned me if I was in a hurry not to send. They are a small operation from what I understand. But do excellent work!

Thanks... I'm in no rush so that's cool! Every other quote I got was double or more so it will be worth the wait to save some coin on 5 hides.

I've got several hides I'm about to.send to them as well. I've heard nothing but good about them. I emailed them and got info and they sent me a full price list for everything.

They do great work. A whitetail hide is 35 dollars. Google them, they have a good website.
